The Central High Media Center is the hub of CH
S with books, magazines, computers, and room to work on projects. The library has ten networked computers, a link to the Tennessee Electronic Library, and a world of books including over 10,000 volumes. The library currently subscribes to over 40 different magazines with several of those provided by the Ambulatory Care Center of Wartburg and Citizens First Bank. Checking out books and materials is automated with the use of the Athena software program.
Channel One is presented through closed circuit television, based in the library, each school day. The audio visual facilities are also located in the library, where students produce a news program everyday.
Freshman Orientation classes are taught how to use the media center and introduced to research by learning the steps of creating research papers. This is a cross curriculum project assisted by the Orientation teachers, computer instructors, and the media specialist.
The CHS library is a great place to study, read, research, or just relax.
