Renaissance

History of Renaissance

The Central High School Renaissance Foundation was established:

  • To raise funds and promote educational programs for Central High School.
  • To provide a review committee for program ideas and to make gifts and grants to the school and individual departments, teachers, students, and student groups;
  • To act as fiscal agent for donors who wish to sponsor projects for the school, its teachers, and students.

The Renaissance Foundation provides Gold, Silver, and Bronze cards to students who are performing with excellence in the classroom both academically and with good character. Those cards give students free access to home athletic events, discounts at local and area merchants and restaurants, and other privalages during the school day.

Through the years the Renaissance Foundation has proven itself as a source of consistent support for the students at Central High School and the teachers fortunate enough to be on staff here.

In addition to those programs, through the Foundation:

  • Furnature was purchased for the computer lab when the school opened;
  • Grants have been recieved to provide specialty training for teachers and students throughout the county - benefiting more than just Central High

The Central High School Renaissance Foundation is a 501.3c tax exempt entity and is operated soley by tax deductible cash contributions. Your suport of our efforts will be greatly appreciated.

The Foundation Board will glady provide additional information upon your request.
