Yearbook Excitement is here!

Yearbook Assembly held Friday, April 28, 2006

On Friday, April 28, 2006, the much anticipated yearbooks will finally be here! This year, the annual has over 80 pages, and at least 12 of them in full-color.

The yearbook staff has worked very hard this year putting together a memorable yearbook. This year's staff includes 1 sophomore, 10 juniors, and 10 seniors, making a grand total of approximately 20 students. With so many new journalism students, the class was new and spunky. Under the guidance of the seasoned advisor, Ms. Alyssa Taylor, the staff has undoubtedly put together an exciting new yearbook.

Over the summer, Jostens hosted journalism workshops in many different states. One was right here in Tennessee at Station Camp High School in Gallatin, TN. Staff members that attended were Megan Lamance, Brett Lamance, and Christy Burgess; advisor Alyssa Taylor went, also. They learned many new things about how to put together an attractive yearbook such as shooting creative pictures, understanding good aesthetics, and learning good design techniques. Also while there, they designed a unique front cover. The staff is very excited to see how it will turn out.

The editors this year are Megan Lamance, senior editor, and Christy Burgess, junior editor. They handled many tasks such as creating pages, assisting the advisor, and of course, editing pages.

Students who participated in the creation of this year's yearbook are anxious to hand them out this Friday. After the handing out of yearbooks, students will have a chance to sign each other's annual and make memories to last a lifetime.
