RSAF 2008

Wednesday and Thursday April 10 and 11, students from our school went to the Roane State Academic Festival. Students competed in categories such as: math, science, business, dance, band, music, drama, and literature. 65 students came to participate from our school.

Through out those 65 students we competed in 25 different events and 16 people won. Teachers that accompanied the students were Ms. Dana Sherill, Ms. Vicki Pointer, Ms. Judy Cross, and Ms. Sara Redmon. Ms. Sherill worked with the music department. Ms. Cross worked with the business department. Ms Pointer worked with the language arts, English, and art division. Ms. Redmon worked with the chemistry students.

Daniel Thomas, Joshua Uribe, and Dustin Hardwick won 1st in WWW Programming. Raven Cross and Eugene Poole won 1st in Qualitative Analysis. Allison Olmstead, Madison Branstetter, David Kunsman, and Stacey Galloway won 2nd in WWW Programming. Skylar Adams and Lauren Byrd won 2nd in Hip Hop Dancing. Matilda Lane won 2nd in Word Processing. Bethany Harlan won 3rd in Word Processing. Ashton Taylor won 2nd in the 40 Word Dash 9/10 level. Nicole Evans won 2nd in the 40 Word Dash 11/12 level. Shayna McLaughlin tied for 1st in the 80 word dash 11/12 level.
