FCCLA to Attend State Leadership Conference

 

The FCCLA ( Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) club of Central High School will attend a State Leadership Conference in Nashville on the 11th of April. This year twenty-one FCCLA members will attend the conference. They are: Megan Lamance, Emily Hardwick, Shauna Freytag, Brittney Moore, Megan Crozier, Jordan Spurling, Andrew Howard, Samantha Jones, Brett Lamance, Christy Burgess, Katelyn Crozier, Travis Nelson, Anthony Rogers, Heather Ausburn, Anna Freels, Madison Branstetter, Tiffany Lloyd, Keala Nabors, Kristen Lavender, Jesse Ellis, and James Daniel. The club members will be staying in the Opryland Hotel for two nights and returning to school the 13th. While they are in Nashville the students will compete in events, attend leadership workshops, attend a formal dinner, vote for state FCCLA officers, and of course have fun.

Twelve students competed in a variety of events at the STAR events competition in Knoxville on Tuesday March 7.

Central High School has had a FCCLA club chapter for over 10 years. To become a Central High FCCLA member, you must have previously taken (or be enrolled in) Family and Consumer Science and pay the yearly fee of $20. Other activities that FCCLA members participate in during the year include going to the TVA&I fair monthly meetings.
