Christmas is a time of giving, and students in the Anchor Club at Central High are helping give children a merrier Christmas this year. Students participated in the Operation Christmas Child program, which sends gift boxes to needy children. Members of the Anchor Club packed wrapped shoe boxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, candy, and other items. Twelve boxes were filled with items to brighten the holiday season for boys and girls.
Operation Christmas Child is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, an international operation that provides relief for troubled individuals throughout the world. Some of the Operation Christmas Child boxes will be sent to hurricane victims here in America, and others will be sent overseas.
Visit www.samaritanspurse.org for more information on how you can provide joy for a child this Christmas.
