CHS Christmas Cheer

School celebrates the most wonderful time of the year

Christmas is getting closer every day, and the merriment at Central High School is gaining momentum.  Students are participating in several activities to spread the spirit of the season.  Operation Christmas Child and Mission of Hope are some of the projects being participated in.

The school is beginning to look a lot like Christmas, too, with students and teachers decking the halls.  Several teachers have trees decorated and some have even gone as far to decorate their desks.  There is also a tree in the main office as well as in the library.  You don’t have to walk far through the school to see evidence of the holiday season.

The town of Wartburg always decorates the park beside the high school with lights at Christmastime. The foot bridge is outlined in a rainbow of lights and a display of giant Christmas cards, reindeer, and the holiday message "Season's Greetings" light up the silent nights of a Wartburg Christmas.

The CHS Concert Band is preparing a program of Christmas selections to be performed at Central Middle School on December 13 at 7:00.

Even though the first semester is drawing to a close and students are preparing for final exams, the school finds time to celebrate the joyous season.
