Story by Lance Lloyd

Beta member Brittney Moore campaigned for state secretary. She had to write a speech and design a campaign booth. She placed in the top three in prelimenary voting, but came up short in final voting.
Ray Jenkins competed in the Science Academic Competition, and Aaron Harvey competed in the Math Academic Competition.
There were approximately 3,000 other high school Beta Club delegates that attended the convention. East Tennessee delegates could run for State Secretary; Middle Tennessee delegates could run for President, and West Tennessee members could run for Vice President.

Members of the Beta Convention had plenty of time to explore the vastness of the hotel, or they could go across the street to the Opry Mills mall to shop.
Overall, everyone had a good time and cannot wait to attend next year's convention.
