Educate America Act - "Dynamic Mathematics: Inquiry Based Learning Using Technology"

Amount Awarded: $59,795

Wartburg Central High School will offer a Dynamic Mathematics workshop to 50 teachers from six school districts in Fentress, Morgan, Roane, and Scott counties. The two one-week workshops will demonstrate how technology can foster mathematic inquiry and learning through investigation, exploration, and manipulation of geometric figures.

Project IMPACT: Improving Math Performance in Algebra with Computer Technology

Amount Awarded: $10,000

Project IMPACT will improve student comprehension of algebraic concepts through technological classroom improvements, tutoring, and hands-on learning experiences for students at Wartburg Central High School.

Teachers from Roane, Morgan, Scott, and Fentress counties attended professional development workshops funded by many of these grants.
