In this course students can understand housing needs and options for individuals and families thorughout the life cycle, assess current housing trends, understand the principles of design, apply knowledge and skills to select, purchase, and arrange furnishings and equipment for the home, interpret the relationship of home care, maintenance, safety, and security to home satisfaction, and explore career paths within the housing, interiors, and furnishings industries.
