In Foundations of Math II, we will study: the order of operations; variables and expressions; solving equations and inequalities; factors; fractions; real numbers; ratio, proportion, and percent; statistics and probability; applying algebra to geometry; area and volume; and the Pythagorean theorem. The main goal of this class is to achieve a level of proficiency that will allow each student to function in the real world.
Since we are on block scheduling, a lot of material has to be covered in a relativly short period of time.
When doing math problems, students are expected to restate the problem and show work in solving the problem. If this is not done I will not count the homework as complete.
