Community Service

Each member of Beta club is required to provide 20 hours of community service.

 

Beta Club State Convention

The Central High Chapter of the Beta Club also attends the Beta Club State Convention. In 2005, 17 members from Central High represented the club at the convention in Nashville, TN. Beta members Trey Daugherty and Lance Lloyd placed third in the talent competition.

In 2006 the CHS Beta Club will be attending the state convention in Nashville, TN, accompanied by Ms. Alyssa Taylor, Lela Moore, and Sue Hardwick. Brittney Moore will be running for state secretary for the 2006-2007 year. Also competing will be Samantha Jones and Liz Davis in art, Trey Daugherty in performance, Ray Jenkins in science, Travis Nelson in social studies, and Aaron Harvey in math.

 

Other Activities

Some of the activities members participate in are:

  • Student of the Month Awards
  • Honoring faculty and staff during National Education Week
  • Honor Roll Assemblies
  • Serving as hosts and hostesses for school events
  • Honoring teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week
