The Anchor Club is a national program that encourages community service through the school environment. The Anchor Club at CHS was established in 2002. Anyone in grades 7-12 can join.
The club is involved in monthly service projects which strive to make a difference in the community. Students lead and organize all the projects and learn valuable skills while helping others in the process.
One senior is selected to recieve a $1,000 scholarship each year. This scholarship is based on involvement with the club.
There is a $20 fee to join the Anchor Club. The International Pilot Club will receive $10, and the local club will receive the remaining $10.The local club will use this money for meetings, service pins, graduation, and service activities. Please see the club sponsor, Mrs. Sharp, if you are interested in joining.
