Golf became an official sport at Central High during the 1997-98 school year. History was also made in Morgan County Fall 2002, when Central High became the first school in the county to field a ladies' golf team. Wartburg's golf teams compete in Region 2 District 4.

Under the guidance of veteran coach Joe Moretz, the Central High golf teams competes in exciting seasons of play at the golf courses of Deer Creek, Riverview, Centennial, and Crooked Creek.
