Summer Food Program

The MCS Summer Food Program runs from June 1 through July 24. Breakfast will be served daily from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at Central Middle and Oakdale. Lunch will be served at a variety of places around the county. Food must be eaten on site.

New Graduation Requirements for the Class of 2013

Graduation requirements are changing for students in the upcoming freshman class, the Class of 2013! State-mandated changes include additional courses in math, social studies, and physical education plus revised state tests.

The Central High School Renaissance Foundation was established in 1990 to raise funds and promote educational programs for Central High School and is seeking interested parents to become involved with Board activities.

Youth Football Camp is scheduled for June 15, 16, 18, and 19, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., for players 4th thru 8th grade. Cost: $30. See Coach Shoemaker for more details.

Senior Pictures for the Class of 2010 will be on Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30.
Advanced English Reading Assignments:
Eng. I - due July 17
Eng. II- due Aug. 12
Eng. III - due July 17
  • Students who signed up for Adv. English I, II, and III should plan to do to the required summer reading.
  • Please call the school during the summer if you are not going to be able to do this so you can be moved to a regular English class.
  • School will begin for students for the 2009-2010 school year on Monday, August 10. Students will be dismissed at 11 a.m. on that day.
    The first full day of school is Wednesday, August 12.
    Fall pictures will be on Friday, August 14.
